Install ThoughtWaveAI
Follow the beta installation instructions provided for your Windows or macOS build.
Getting Started
ThoughtWaveAI is currently available through a controlled desktop beta for Windows and macOS. This guide separates initial setup from the short routine you use before every session.
A · One-Time Setup
Complete these steps when you first receive the desktop beta, then revisit them only when your configuration changes.
Follow the beta installation instructions provided for your Windows or macOS build.
Complete the required AI provider configuration in Settings. Keep credentials private and enter them only in the app.
Allow the microphone and system-audio access required for your intended conversation setup.
Run an audio check and confirm ThoughtWaveAI can hear the sources you plan to use. Device and meeting-app behavior can vary.
Set window placement, opacity, screen visibility, language, and other user-facing defaults as needed.
Use the connection option from the active desktop session when a lightweight phone view would be useful.
B · Before Each Session
Outcome, Influence, and Session Context help ThoughtWaveAI anticipate useful questions, likely follow-ups, and important points.
Define what you want to accomplish.
Choose how strongly guidance should help move the conversation toward your Outcome.
Add the notes, facts, constraints, and supported files that matter.
Adjust privacy, display, Mobile Companion, profile, skill, or language settings if needed.
Begin when your guidance and context are ready.

During the session
Not just answers. Better questions—suggested when they may help move the conversation forward.
Follow the shared conversational timeline.
Use the explicit path when you already have a question.
Continue from the recent conversation and consider a useful next question, follow-up, clarification, or point to raise.
Receive a proactively surfaced question or point when the discussion indicates it may help.
Use Context, Assist, Discussion, and the persistent Ask TW composer from the same active session.
After the session
Review the conversation first, then preserve or condense the material you need.
Evaluate important moments, decisions, signals, missed points, and supported next actions.
Preserve supported session material and history for later reference.
Create a concise recap of key topics, actions, open questions, and follow-up.
